Straub Clinic Kapolei & Pearlridge
As an additional service package, storefront graphics were proposed, designed and printed for the conference rooms for Straub Clinic Kapolei and Pearlridge.  The designs were to represent plants of healing as depicted in Hawaiian Culture.  This project aimed to utilize both graphic design skills and architectural knowledge to provide both an aesthetic design and a method to provide privacy for the conference room users.
Straub Clinic Kapolei
The design of the storefront was of the lehua flower known commonly in Hawaiian culture for its medicinal qualities in pain relief.  Because the location of the conference room was adjacent to the central corridor of the facility, the project team felt it appropriate to create movement in the design as a subtle wayfinding feature.  The final design also aided in helping to win the 2019 IIPA Ho`ohuli Award.
Straub Clinic Pearlridge
While Straub Kapolei focused on creating movement for the users, the Straub Pearlridge storefront aided in creating a stationary waiting space for occupants of the lobby.  The design focused on ti leaves which is also a common Hawaiian plant used in healing.  The concept of the ti leaves was to create the appeal of relaxing in a field while waiting for their checkups.  This also provided privacy for the waiting area as it was adjacent to the common grounds.
